Quality Control Scientist - Biochemistry

Job Profile: MD Biochemistry (Head – Routine Biochemistry and Immunology Division)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MD Biochemistry professional to lead and oversee the Biochemistry and Immunology divisions of our laboratory. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, supervising laboratory processes, and maintaining compliance with NABL standards and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Biochemistry and Immunology sections.

• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of diagnostic reports.

• Implement and monitor compliance with NABL 15189 standards and laboratory SOPs.

• Oversee quality control, proficiency testing, and documentation processes.

• Train and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring proper handover and workflow management.

• Collaborate with clinicians and provide diagnostic guidance where required.

• Drive continuous improvement in laboratory operations and quality management systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MD in Biochemistry from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with NABL-accredited labs.

• Strong expertise in Biochemistry and Immunology processes.

• In-depth knowledge of NABL 15189 standards and quality management systems.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Reporting to: Laboratory Director/Management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 24 per week
