Role Overview: As a hands-on Quality Cloud Architect (Lead DevOps Engineer) at ClearRoute, you will lead the modernization of our global infrastructure and end-to-end application deployment capabilities. Your role will involve designing and implementing unified, automated, and cloud-native solutions across a highly distributed, hybrid estate. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the assessment and transformation of existing infrastructure management and deployment pipelines. - Architect and implement unified DevOps frameworks across on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments. - Drive adoption of modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Chef), and GitOps practices. - Integrate tools and processes across provisioning (VMware/Nutanix/ESXi), OS patching, and CMDB (ServiceNow). - Guide containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS), and workload optimization initiatives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce deployment complexity and cognitive load. - Build automation to enable dynamic workload placement and lifecycle management. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of DevOps experience with large-scale, hybrid infrastructure. - Expertise in AWS, VMware, Linux (RHEL), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible/Chef). - Deep understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, container platforms (Kubernetes/EKS/OpenShift). - Proven experience integrating disparate infrastructure tools and automating end-to-end workflows. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to influence architecture and operations. - Experience in performance-sensitive environments is a plus. Nice to Have: - Exposure to legacy-to-cloud migration and M&A infrastructure integration. - Familiarity with cost optimization and license rationalization (VMware, AWS). - Understanding of SRE principles and platform engineering practices.
