Job Description

BMC is looking for a motivated

Quality Assurance Engineer

to join our team at BMC. Youll play an important role in ensuring the quality of our cloud-based enterprise software solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who has hands-on QA experience and is ready to grow their automation and cloud testing skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

Collaborate with developers, QA peers, and product managers to understand feature requirements and write test cases.
Create and execute manual and automated test cases to validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Contribute to building and maintaining automation test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Help ensure product stability by participating in regular regression and integration testing.
Report defects, track them to resolution, and participate in reviews of test plans and product documentation.
Support efforts to improve testing processes, efficiency, and coverage.
Participate in Agile/Scrum team activities like sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

To ensure youre set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

You have 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
You have experience with automation tools such as
Selenium
,
Postman
, or similar.
You have basic scripting or programming knowledge in
Java
,
Python
, or
Node.js
.
You have understanding of API testing using tools like
SOAPUI
or
REST clients
.
you are familiar with version control systems such as
Git
.
You ahve exposure to Agile development practices and tools like
JIRA
.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

Exposure to cloud platforms like
AWS
,
Azure
, or
GCP
.
Experience working with
Docker
,
Kubernetes
, or other container technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g.,
Jenkins
,
Spinnaker
).
Experience in performance or security testing is a plus.
