About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Salesforce QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance initiatives for the Salesforce platform. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications, configurations, and integrations. Your expertise will help maintain high standards by designing comprehensive test strategies, executing manual and automated tests, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Salesforce testing, automation frameworks, and agile methodologies, with the ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years dedicated to Salesforce testing.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce functionalities, including Lightning Experience, declarative features, and integrations.
- Proficiency in manual testing, automation testing, and test automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, or TestNG.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce-specific challenges such as Governor Limits, SOQL queries, and Apex testing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Proficiency with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies tailored to Salesforce ecosystems, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and custom solutions.
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing for Salesforce customizations, Lightning components, integrations, and third-party applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Execute various testing types such as functional, regression, smoke, system, and integration testing to identify and mitigate issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Build, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Provar, or other Salesforce-compatible automation tools.
- Integrate test automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with development and DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, working closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.
- Mentor junior QA team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure QA activities align with project goals.
- Define and monitor QA metrics, generate reports, and communicate quality status and insights to stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to Salesforce best practices, organizational standards, and compliance requirements.
