Quality Assurance Engineer - Robotics

In this role, you will be part of an Engineering team that is adapting to the increasing demands of customers, transitioning from managing a few robots to a large fleet, and from a small team to multiple squads. Your primary focus will be collaborating with top enterprise clients in Japan to develop cutting-edge robotics solutions using our cloud robotics platform, rapyuta.io, and the surrounding ecosystem. The team's primary goal is to lead the way in creating scalable, collaborative, and flexible robotics solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Testing real robots in a physical environment and virtual robots in a simulated environment - Automating API tests and systems level testing - Reviewing system specifications to define test cases - Creating and maintaining test plans - Executing test plans in simulated and hardware environments - Tracking defects and generating bug and test reports - Participating in enhancing QA processes - Implementing test automation for robotics systems Qualifications Required: Minimum qualifications: - 3 years of technical experience in software Quality Assurance as an Individual Contributor - Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience - Experience in writing, maintaining, and executing software test cases, both manual and automated - Experience in writing, maintaining, and executing software test cases involving hardware interactions - Proficiency in Python/C++ testing frameworks - Proficiency in the Linux ecosystem - Advanced knowledge of testing approaches such as BDD/TDD, Blackbox/Whitebox, and regression testing - Familiarity with Agile principles and methodologies like SCRUM - Experience in HTTP API testing Preferred qualifications: - Knowledge of HWIL, simulations, ROS - Basic understanding of embedded systems and electronics - Experience in developing/QA for robotics or hardware products - Familiarity with testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools - ISTQB certification - Japanese language proficiency - Proficiency with version control repositories like git - Understanding of CI/CD systems such as GHA, Jenkins, CircleCI In addition to the exciting responsibilities and qualifications, you will enjoy competitive salary, an international working environment, the opportunity to work with bleeding-edge technology, and collaborate with exceptionally talented engineers.,
