Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software products meet high-quality standards through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves creating and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications. Design and implement both manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, performance, and security of software applications. Test Execution: Execute test cases and document results, identifying, logging, and prioritizing defects or issues. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure products meet quality standards and requirements. Defect Management: Track, manage, and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Work closely with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot defects, and provide detailed feedback for resolution. Automation and Tools: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality. Communicate test results, issues, and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports. Prepare and present quality assurance reports and metrics to senior management and other stakeholders. Knowledge of Computers (MS Office )
