As a Quality Assurance Analyst and Trainer for Medical Coding at LexiCode, you will be part of a dynamic team of coding experts committed to providing top-notch coding services to clients. Your main role will involve reviewing medical codes for accuracy and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and regulations. Your responsibilities will include: - Thoroughly analyzing medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures. - Reviewing medical codes to guarantee accuracy and alignment with clinical documentation. - Maintaining the precision and integrity of coded data. - Keeping updated on changing coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous research. - Participating in coding audits and quality improvement projects to maintain and elevate coding accuracy standards. - Meeting productivity targets while following established coding quality and efficiency benchmarks. - Adhering strictly to patient confidentiality and privacy standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Minimum qualifications required for this role are: - Possession of AHIMA credential such as CCS; or AAPC credential like CPC or CIC. - At least 1 year of experience in coding or QA for ED Facility, Profee, and E/M. - Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and PCS coding systems with comprehensive understanding of guidelines and conventions. - Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Strong analytical skills to accurately interpret complex medical documentation. - Attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in coding tasks. - Excellent communication abilities to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.,
