Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Analyst for Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will be part of a dynamic team of coding experts focused on delivering top-notch coding services to clients. Your main role will involve reviewing medical codes for accuracy and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Thoroughly review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses & procedures. - Review ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for accuracy to ensure they accurately represent clinical documentation. - Maintain the integrity and precision of coded data. - Stay updated on evolving coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous research. - Participate actively in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain and improve coding accuracy standards. - Maintain optimal productivity levels while meeting established coding quality and efficiency benchmarks. - Adhere strictly to patient confidentiality and privacy standards in full compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Required: - Possession of one of the following AHIMA credentials: CCS; or one of the following AAPC credentials: CPC, or CIC. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in coding or QA for Outpatient Surgery. - Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and PCS coding systems, with a comprehensive understanding of guidelines and conventions. - Ability to use coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively. - Strong analytical skills to interpret complex medical documentation accurately. - Detail-oriented approach to ensure precision and accuracy in all coding assignments. - Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.,
