Quality Analyst Trainee

You are sought after to join our team as a Manual Tester in Mohali. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously ensure the quality of software applications through manual testing. Here's what you will be doing: - Analyze functional and technical requirements to create detailed test cases. - Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications. - Identify, record, and track bugs using a bug-tracking tool. - Perform regression, smoke, and functional testing. - Validate fixes and ensure defects are resolved. - Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and resolve issues. - Prepare and present test reports and summaries to stakeholders. - Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test scripts. - Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices. To excel in this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role. - Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. - Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub). - Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail with a focus on quality. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman. - Basic understanding of SQL for database testing. - Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
