Understand that design doesnt stop at the brief. Ask the right questions, and know why you&aposre working on something. Understand who the brand is speaking to, where its showing up, and how the work will be used. You shape the final output with the audience, the context, and the business goal in mind. Design with intent. Every output should be worth the effort it takes to create it. Qualifications and soft skills that matter A strong grasp of the design process and visual fundamentals: typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy. Confidence working in Figma and Illustrator, or whatever helps you bring ideas to life Working knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro. A portfolio that shows range across brands, products, and motion is a bonus. Strong storytelling is a must. The ability to take a loose brief or abstract idea and turn it into something clear and usable. A basic understanding of UI/UX is helpful but not essential. Well figure it out together. Experience creating short-form content with speed and intent. Agility matters. Ask the right questions, challenge vague input, and design with context in mind.
