QA/Test Developer

Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA/Test Developer with 5+ years of experience in web technologies such as Java, Cognos, and Python. The candidate will serve as a Functional Tester and play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of web-based solutions. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive test plans, executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with the development team to validate that royalty-based solutions align with business requirements and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner with strong analytical skills, capable of understanding complex data workflows, and comfortable engaging directly with business stakeholders to drive quality outcomes.Required Skills:

Experienced Software Tester specializing in both manual and automated testing methodologies.Skilled in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium.Proficient in API testing, Web application testing, and SQL for database validation and backend testing.Familiar with programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies and practicesKey Responsibilities:-Strong experience in quality assurance and testing, specifically with Java/Congos/Python or similar content management systems.Familiarity with Java and Congos/DataStage components.Strong knowledge of web technologies and content management systems.Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect reporting.Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment between data systems and business goalsDemonstrate ownership and accountability in an individual contributor roleStay current with evolving data technologies and proactively upskill as neededContribute to migration or modernization efforts as required Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise

5+ years experience in Quality Engineering

Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodology

Able to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools

Able to set up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with TestRail, Jira, Git, Jenkins, Selenium, ReadyAPISQL proficiency
