QA Test Engineer (Day Shift)

As a seasoned QA Test Engineer with 6-7 years of experience, you will be responsible for providing Test Automation support. You will work independently and collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure product quality through testing efforts. Your role will involve learning and implementing new QA activities and procedures to shape amazing products. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) - Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation based on requirements, design, and solutions - Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met - Perform manual test execution (functional, regression, integration testing), identify defects, and conduct root cause analysis - Document defects with steps to reproduce and triage them through the defect lifecycle - Collaborate with product owners to develop an understanding of user stories and use cases for test approaches - Work within and across customer service, development, and product teams to validate products - Complete test preparation, participate in peer reviews, setup test environments, and document test plans - Develop strategies for test automation, write and maintain test scripts using Selenium or similar tools - Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies - Ensure product compliance with external software quality requirements - Write, implement, and report status for system test cases - Generate quality metrics and reports to track manual and automated testing efforts - Review and collect feedback on test plans and cases from the QA team and product owner(s) - Analyze test cases and provide progress reports - Serve as a specialist providing testing expertise for user requirements of complex applications - Participate in risk management assessments and software/hardware development phases **Qualifications Required:** - BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering - 6-7 years of testing experience - Experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies - Ability to write clear, concise test plans and cases - Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing - Proficiency in automated testing tools - Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting - Experience in Agile/Scrum development process - Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus You will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the quality and success of our products.
