Job Description

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Experience in agile frameworks and regression testing, Hands-on experience in cross browser / cross platform testing and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Execute end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, Design and implement robust test cases to tailored to project requirements.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements and create effective testing strategies.
Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps for test integration.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of SQL, Postgres Database.
Review software requirements and specifications documents, provide input to improve product effectiveness, integration, and usability.

Competencies to be kept current:

Domain knowledge - Preferably Petroleum Production Engineering & Surface Facilities
Understanding of Quality Assurance & Testing processes including development of Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Strategies
Understanding in configurations of software and the ability to work on Windows (client & server OS)
Basic understanding of programming concepts
Good understanding of SQL/Postgres/Oracle databases

Ability to diagnose software failures
