Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test
5+ Years

Key knowledge and skills:

5+ years experience in testing APIs and Web Applications
Strong experience in developing test plans, strategies and writing test cases (Jira preferably)
Test automation experience. Must-have: Selenium, nice to have: Jmeter. Any scripting experience such as PowerShell, Bash, is useful.
Experience or understanding of software quality assurance tools and processes
Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Great QA mindset .
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
Full understanding of the overall SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)

Responsibilities:

Execution of both manual and automated testing of a Web Applications as well as API testing
Developing test plans, strategies and writing test cases
Designing and execution of end-to-end scenarios
Required knowledge of test automation:

o Selenium WebDriver or WinAppDriver

automated testing with Java

o TestNG Java testing framework experience

o Jmeter for API functional testing

o Knowledge and use of Maven, to manage dependencies and execute test suites

Defect Management:

o Using JIRA to submit and update bugs found during or outside of the testing process

o Use the project management tool (JIRA) to fully understand feature Acceptance Criteria

o Troubleshooting or reproducing larger team or partner bug submissions

o Organizing and facilitating Bug Triage meetings with stakeholders

Participating in project team Agile and Scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives

o Regularly update your assigned sprint tasks in JIRA

o Complete sprint deliverables on time or communicate roadblocks clearly and as early as possible to lead and/or manager

Embedded Feature Testing - Work directly with product manager/developers to understand current features in development and how best to test those features early in the lifecycle
Work with Integration QA team on new features; supporting the team with delivering new test cases and any appropriate feature related information
Presentations to management and development team on quality status, testing updates, partner issues, bug counts etc.
Able to spot and spearhead initiatives for quality improvements across the board
