Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • To sign / release Authorized Release Certificate.
  • Review and interpret engine manuals, illustrated parts manuals, and other technical data requirements to perform visual and dimensional inspections at receiving/preliminary, inprocess, and final inspection.
  • To document inspection results accurately.
  • Review and ensure compliance with customer preference files.
  • Comply with internal Quality Management System requirements.
  • Interpret resolution of gauges required to perform dimensional inspections.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as indicators, verniers, OD & ID micrometers, pi tapes, etc.
  • Interpret drawings and instructions from operations sheets and complex blueprints, engine manuals, inspection records, inspection record method sheets, etc.
  • Detect faulty operations and materials, and create NCR to document non-conformance and disposition rework or escalate, as needed.
  • Review and interpret preliminary visual and dimensional results to define work scope in compliance with the customer Purchase Order and approved technical data.
  • Work with engineering to resolve customer technical submittals and acceptances.
  • Identify and mark parts, as required, per approved technical data.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area.
  • Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
  • Perform Release to Service function.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of aeronautical experience in the field of aviation maintenance including at least 12 months of practical experience in the specific component maintenance area/workshop and familiar with the procedures and products of the company.
  • Possess EASA Module 9 & 10 Certificate and Human Factors Training Certificate.
  • Possess the following CAAS required Certifications:
  • M10, L11, L12 or CO1 Airworthiness Administration
  • B11 Maintenance Practices and Materials or CO2 Physics and Aerodynamic and TM1 Aircraft Materials and Hardware, and Maintenance Practices (Mechanical)
  • C14 Gas Turbine Engine Theory & Construction or M15 Gas Turbine Engine
  • Proficient with various measuring instruments such as indicators, verniers, OD & ID micrometers, pi-tapes, etc.
  • Understand GD&T requirements and ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office Application.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communications skills.
  • Able to meet aviation authorities personnel requirements as necessary.
  • Experienced with CMM operation and programming will be a differentiator.
  • The individual will start as a QA Inspector undergoing product training for the first 69 months. During this period, monthly rotating shifts are required until transitioning to a CRS Inspector, provided all required certification exams have been successfully completed and passed.
