QA Engineer

QA Engineer responsible for manual and automation testing across Web, API, and Data platforms. In this role, you will design, execute, and maintain test assets throughout the SDLC/STLC with a strong focus on Selenium WebDriver automation in Java, testing modern Java microservices (Spring Boot), and validating data engineering workloads (batch/streaming).
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine test strategy, create and execute test plans/cases for functional, regression, UI, cross-browser, and exploratory testing.Develop and maintain automation frameworks in Java (Selenium, POM, data-driven), ensuring reusable, parameterized scripts and optimized coverage.Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), report results, and collaborate closely with developers on defects.Perform API testing using Postman/RestAssured, validate databases with SQL, and manage test data/environments.Test Java microservices, REST endpoints, messaging flows, and event-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).Validate service contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON Schema, Avro/Protobuf) with forward/backward compatibility.Conduct performance testing with JMeter, and basic security testing of auth flows (OAuth2/OIDC).Required SkillsStrong grasp of SDLC/STLC, test design techniques, and risk-based testing.Expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java, RestAssured for API automation, and Appium for mobile testing.Hands-on with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, SQL, and browser dev tools.Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes basics), CI/CD, and observability tools (ELK/Prometheus/Grafana).Experience with performance/reliability testing (JMeter, Gatling) and basic chaos testing.Understanding of cloud QA fundamentals (AWS/GCP/Azure) and security testing (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP Top 10).Strong communication, debugging, and documentation skills.
