Position Summary & Key Areas Of Responsibility

Primary responsibility is to ensure high quality software deliverables as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of Engineers working on an ATM Client application. This individual will serve the QA Engineer role in an Agile team.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Plan and execute testing of NCR Atleos software systems, subsystems, and components.
• Apply established test methodologies, processes, standards, and tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain reusable automated test scripts.
• Perform manual functional, regression, performance, volume, and reliability testing.
• Ensure full test coverage against requirements using documented test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Record, maintain, and archive test results; track and resolve defects using appropriate tools.
• Install, configure, and manage test environments (hardware, software, physical and virtual labs).
• Coordinate cross-team testing activities and assist with effort estimation and Sprint commitments.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automated).
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in GUI and client application testing, as well as enterprise software testing.
• Skilled in developing functional, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and clearly articulating software defects.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, PractiTest).
• Experience with Python for test automation scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter with initiative and adaptability to changing requirements.
• Sound judgment to prioritize high-risk areas for testing.
• Ability to understand business and technical requirements and customer expectations.
• Collaborative mindset with mentoring and influencing capabilities.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, ideally in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of software development standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with development and test management tools such as JIRA and PractiTest
• Monitor test execution progress and provide metrics and reports to management.
• Apply debugging and troubleshooting techniques to assist developers in isolating issues.
• Review and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for accuracy.
• Stay current with testing technologies and best practices; share knowledge with the team.
• Possible travel to customer sites for test execution.
