QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Dotdash, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of core web frameworks for one of the largest online publishers. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing manual testing of web applications to guarantee compatibility across various browsers and devices. - Creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, cases, and scenarios for functional, regression, and exploratory testing. - Collaborating with developers and product teams to review requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Executing functional and integration testing to validate web applications, APIs, and services. - Identifying and logging defects with clear documentation and working with developers to resolve them. - Tracking and reporting test execution progress, defects, and quality to provide valuable input for decision-making. - Assisting in building basic automated test scripts using Java and Selenium when necessary. - Participating in peer reviews of test cases, scripts, and overall QA strategy to ensure consistency. - Contributing to sprint planning, bug prioritization, and status reports in daily cross-functional SCRUMs. - Identifying areas for process improvements and continuously enhancing testing methodologies. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in Manual testing and automated functional tests in Java and JavaScript. - Hands-on experience with Java, RestAssured, JavaScript, and Playwright/Cypress. - Solid understanding of testing methodologies and practices. - Expertise in Rest API automation using complex frameworks JavaScript or TypeScript. - Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA or Zephyr. - Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills. - Ability to manage deadlines in an agile development environment.,
