QA Automation with BDD

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing developing executing and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications This role collaborates with development product and QA teams to build test frameworks optimize test coverage identify defects early and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines
Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation Framework Script DevelopmentDesign and develop automation frameworks for web mobile API or backend systemsCreate and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium Cypress Playwright RestAssured Appium or equivalentBuild reusable test components and libraries to improve test efficiencyTest Planning ExecutionAnalyze requirements user stories and acceptance criteria to develop test strategies and test casesExecute automated regression smoke integration and performance testsContinuous Integration DevOpsIntegrate automated tests into CI CD pipelines Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions Azure DevOpsWork closely with DevOps engineers to ensure automated tests run efficiently across environmentsMonitor troubleshoot and maintain stable automated test execution workflowsQuality Assurance CollaborationIdentify document and track defects using issue trackers such as Jira or Azure BoardsCollaborate with developers to reproduce issues and ensure timely resolutionParticipate in design and code reviews from a QA perspectivePerformance Security API Testing as applicableConduct API automation using Postman Newman RestAssured or similar toolsExecute performance testing with JMeter Gatling or Locust if requiredSupport security testing by validating vulnerabilities and ensuring safe coding practicesRequired Skills Qualifications2 6 years of experience in QA automationStrong proficiency in automation tools frameworks such asSelenium WebDriver Cypress Playwright Appium RestAssuredHands on experience with programming scripting languagesJava Python JavaScript or TypeScriptExperience with CI CD version control Git and build tools Maven GradleSolid understanding of testing methodologies unit integration functional regression and E2EExperience with Agile Scrum development processesSelenium BDD Framework
