The QA team is a critical component of NIQ for Digital Commerce software engineering team. When a new piece of software is being developed or a bug being fixed, the QA Engineers are part of the process from start to end. We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the product team and focus on deploying and following engineering best practices. Our distributed team has a broad scope and balanced mix of levels so there's plenty of room to teach and learn.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an end-to-end testing strategy covering manual and automated tests (Cypress, Postman, Bitbucket pipeline, Testrail).
• Define and challenge acceptance criteria and product specs for clarity and testability.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to deliver high-quality, user-focused features.
• Perform exploratory manual testing and develop automated test suites for regression and integration.
• Work with data to validate business rules and ensure data integrity.
• Track bugs, report issues clearly, and push for effective resolutions.
• Propose new ideas, tools, and processes to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
• Be a quality advocate, ensuring client expectations remain central to all testing efforts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 proven experience in manual and automated testing
• Solid understanding of test automation tools (preferably Cypress, Postman)
• Good knowledge of databases and data handling (e.g., MongoDB, SQL, Parquet files).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile practices.
• Curious, adaptable, and comfortable working across various topics.
• Client-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communicator, able to challenge and collaborate with POs and developers.
