Experience: Starting from 1.6

Review and accurately code Emergency Department charts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure coding compliance with AAPC, payer-specific, and internal guidelines.
Analyse clinical documentation and query providers when documentation is incomplete or unclear.
Meet or exceed productivity and quality benchmarks.
Participate in regular audits and implement feedback as required.
Stay updated with the latest coding changes and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Abstract key clinical data and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes for ED/ER patient charts.
Adhere to U.S. coding compliance policies (LCD/NCD, NCCI edits, payer rules) .
Generate status and audit outcome reports; track performance against quality and productivity targets.
Engage with clinical staff to resolve documentation gaps.

Must hold coding certification:
CPC
(AAPC),
COC
,
CCSP
, or
CEDC
(emergency services specialist)
Starting from 1.6
professional coding experience in ED or outpatient facility settings.
Degree in medical/life sciences preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical workflows
