Job Description

Knowledge / Experience:

• A solid understanding and a minimum of 4+ years of experience working with Python and SQL.
• Basic familiarity with AWS and Snowflake would be advantageous.
• Knowledge or certification in ITIL processes would provide an additional advantage.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support: Assisting users with troubleshooting, resolving issues, and answering queries related to Data lake framework developed using AWS services, Python programming, and SQL databases.
• Performance assessment: System performance assessment, identifying bottlenecks or issues, and implementing solutions to optimize performance.
• Scripting and automation: Developing scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance system reliability.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to address technical issues and implement solutions.
• Continuous learning: Staying updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies related to AWS, Python, and SQL to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Customer service: Providing excellent customer service by ensuring timely responses, effective communication, and satisfactory resolution of issues
• Process improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement, suggesting enhancements to workflows or procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the support team.

Techno-Functional Skills

Primary Skill Set

• Proficiency in Python programming language: Strong understanding of Python syntax, data structures, libraries, and best practices for scripting and automation tasks.
• Experience with SQL databases: Knowledge of SQL query language, database design principles, and experience working with relational databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, etc.
• Utilized Python for data preprocessing, employing Numpy and Pandas libraries. Managed and executed operations on large datasets using Python/Pyspark.
• Extensively worked with both structured and unstructured data formats such as JSON and PARQUET.
• Experienced in crafting complex and efficient SQL queries to extract data using Python ODBC Drivers. Applied Functional Programming and OOPS concepts extensively in the development of large ETL-related Python scripts.

Secondary Skill Set-

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to understand cloud computing concepts and architectures.
• DevOps practices: Understanding of DevOps standard practices, tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, etc.

Qualifications Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science.
• Master's in Computer Applications (MCA).
