Job Description

Role Overview: You will be a Lead II in Software Engineering at UST, focusing on Python Fast API development. Key Responsibilities: - Take charge of interface design, documentation, and unit testing to ensure quality deliverables. - Work efficiently in small teams, completing tasks promptly with minimal supervision. - Document, architect, and implement technical specifications and solutions aligned with business requirements. - Innovate and write clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews to uphold quality standards. - Influence technical decisions across the product and create valuable artifacts for the team and stakeholders. - Develop new features, troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance performance and user experience. - Engage in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development practices. Qualification Required: - Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - Possess 5+ years of API development experience using Python, with expertise in web frameworks like FastAPI. - Have 3-5 years of experience deploying APIs in a cloud environment, preferably AWS. - Demonstrate proficiency in database management using SQL (e.g., ClickHouse, MariaDB) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB). - Showcase a strong portfolio of software development projects and understanding of RESTful API design principles. - Exhibit familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
