Major responsibilities are creating automation, processing payment files and building scalable and robust Python applications running Linux servers.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop and implement highly scalable, high-volume data processing systems and components.
• Design and develop applications using Python, Linux Bash scripts and SQL.
• Research and evaluate software related technologies and products.
• Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies.
• Perform code reviews and participate in defining & ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Provide development estimate on stories and tasks.
• Support and maintain existing and new applications.
• Attend/Facilitate meetings with users regarding requirements when appropriate.
• Unit test and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Remain current on information technology and techniques.

Competencies/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Python developer required.
• Experience architecting, building, and launching software products and services.
• Familiarity with Python unittest.
• Agile and/or Kanban with JIRA required.
• Skilled multitasker with excellent listening skills.
• Self-motivated and can work with minimal direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
