Python Developer Lead/ VP Product Expert - Python

What do you need to succeed?

• Strong technical developer with 8+ years of experience in Python, PySpark, Django, Distributed databases, Caching, REST API and database technologies.
• At least 3+yrs of experience in middleware messaging technologies like Solace, JMS - Good to have
• 5+yrs of experience working on Big Data (Hadoop, Data lake technologies (Optional)
• Experience in HTML5, or ReactJS - optional
• Working knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms and OO concepts
• Knowledge of version control systems like SVN, GitHub and Jenkins and build control systems like maven and gradle
• Test driven Development experience is plus.
• Linux/Windows system experience is preferred
• Working experience in End of the day Market data for different lines of businesses in Capital markets is must
• Understanding of Reuters and Bloomberg market data feeds for interest rate derivative products is plus.
• Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with exceptional communication skills required to interface with a highly engaged client group

What will you do?

• -Work as a member of the team to build solutions that assist the execution of the flow
• -Design, develop, and maintain reusable Java components for data management and job execution
• -Participate in requirements gathering and meetings with business stakeholders and other technology groups to produce analysis of the Use Cases and Solutions Designs
• -Provide development and Level 2 support along with other team members
• -Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
• -Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
• -Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis

• This is a fast pace business with frequently changing needs and requirements
• Work with Development Lead/Manager, business partners and various technology groups to deliver high quality products
• Strive for continuous improvements of our processes, application designs and application execution

Work directly with BTMs client (An investment bank in US/Toronto)
