Python Developer

As a Python REST API Developer at our Coimbatore location, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python-based REST APIs with a strong emphasis on adhering to OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications and producing clean, testable code. Your role will involve collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment on data structures, endpoints, versioning strategies, and deployment timelines. Using tools such as Postman and Swagger UI, you will validate and document API endpoints effectively. Monitoring and enhancing the performance, reliability, and security of deployed APIs will be a key part of your responsibilities. Supporting API consumers by maintaining clear documentation and assisting with technical queries is essential. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of strong experience in backend development using Python frameworks like FastAPI and Flask. A solid understanding of REST API design, versioning, authentication, and documentation, particularly OpenAPI/Swagger, is crucial. Proficiency in tools such as Postman, VS Code, GitHub, and working with SQL-based databases is required. While experience with Azure Functions or cloud-based deployment patterns is advantageous, it is not mandatory. You should be comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing logs, and collaborating with support or development teams to identify root causes. Additionally, having experience or interest in distributed data processing with Spark or real-time data pipelines using Kafka is a plus, but not a requirement.
