About the Role

Python Developer / Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, and deploy

  ETL pipelines

  using

  Python, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory

  .
• Build scalable

  data ingestion frameworks

  to process structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources (APIs, databases, data lakes).
• Write efficient

  SQL queries

  for data transformation, validation, and aggregation in

  Azure Synapse Analytics

  .
• Develop

  serverless Azure Functions

  for automation and event-driven workflows.

2. Cloud Architecture & Integration

• Implement and manage

  data integration workflows

  across Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Blob Storage.
• Work on

  data orchestration, job scheduling, and dependency management

  in Azure environments.
• Ensure proper

  data lineage, version control, and monitoring

  of ETL processes.
• Collaborate with

  DevOps

  teams to deploy

  CI/CD pipelines

  for data solutions.

3. Performance Optimization

• Optimize

  PySpark

  and

  SQL

  jobs for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot data processing issues and

  optimize cloud resource utilization

  .
• Implement

  best practices

  for error handling, retry logic, and logging across data workflows.

4. Data Governance & Security

• Ensure compliance with

  data privacy and governance policies

  .
• Implement

  RBAC, encryption, and credential management

  .
• Conduct

  code reviews, testing, and documentation

  of data engineering solutions.

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with

  data analysts, business stakeholders, and product teams

  to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Participate in

  agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

  .
• Prepare

  technical documentation, flow diagrams, and architecture blueprints

  .

Technical Skills

• Programming:

  Python (Advanced), PySpark, SQL

• Cloud Services:

  Azure Functions, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage

• ETL Tools:

  Azure Data Factory, Databricks (preferred), or custom Python-based ETL

• Databases:

  Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS

• Version Control:

  Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps

• CI/CD:

  DevOps pipelines, YAML, release automation

• Data Architecture:

  Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Data Governance

• Monitoring Tools:

  Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics
