Python Developer

We are looking for a seasoned Python Developer to join our Content Engineering Team, focusing on building and optimizing a semantic search engine that delivers real-time news, images, and videos to global publishers. The role involves backend development using Python, Django, REST APIs, deployment on AWS, and integration with search technologies like ElasticSearch/OpenSearch. Experience with semantic search, RAG, or CDNs is a plus.

Your tasks

• Developing and maintaining key components of content delivery systems
• Working on search engine technologies, enhancing search capabilities with semantic meaning
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and services
• Troubleshooting and optimizing performance of web-scale hosted content systems
• Working with content delivery systems catering to publishers, broadcasters, and digital platforms

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Python development
• Experience with Django, REST APIs, and AWS
• Familiarity with search technologies like OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, or similar
• Willingness to mentor junior/mid-level engineers
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly. Proficient in English (written and spoken)

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with semantic search technologies
• Previous work with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) development
• Knowledge of content delivery networks (CDNs)
