Python Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at Digit88, you will play a crucial role in designing and building scalable backend systems using Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and building scalable backend systems optimized for performance and maintainability - Staying updated with emerging backend technologies and exploring how Agentic AI and LLM integrations can enhance modern backend services - Developing and maintaining robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal systems, user-facing apps, and external integrations - Architecting distributed microservices that can handle large-scale workloads, focusing on fault tolerance, security, and observability - Owning data modeling and query design for relational/NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and query performance - Collaborating with DevOps to define and implement cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, including CI/CD, monitoring, and auto-scaling - Working closely with cross-functional teams to define features, scope solutions, and deliver high-impact projects - Implementing asynchronous tasks and event-driven workflows using tools like Celery and message queues - Contributing to technical architecture decisions and influencing best practices across engineering - Writing clean, well-documented, and testable code with a strong emphasis on quality and continuous improvement Qualifications required for this role include: - BTech/BE in CS or related discipline with 2+ years of backend experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems - Hands-on experience developing backend systems using Python, with a deep understanding of software design, performance, and maintainability - Proven experience with modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, used in production at scale - Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, focusing on scalability, versioning, and clean data modeling - Solid working knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and handling large datasets - Experience working with Agentic AI systems or integrating LLM-based agents into backend workflows is highly desirable - Experience building and deploying applications on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch - Familiarity with microservices architecture, asynchronous programming, and event-driven systems - Comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, and setting up CI/CD pipelines for smooth and reliable deployments - Strong understanding of backend engineering best practices including testing, observability, security, and resilience at scale Join Digit88 as a Backend Engineer and be part of a fantastic team of technologists who solve real and complex problems for partners in a fast-paced and challenging environment!,
