The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your overall objective in this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will utilize your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements. This includes using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code. You will consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems. Additionally, you will apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications and analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging. As an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst, you will also serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. Your role will involve identifying problems, analyzing information, and making evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions. You will resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, guided by precedents. You must be able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. In this position, you will appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: - 4-8 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics OR Big Data - Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Pyspark, including Spark components - 2-4 years of experience as a Big Data Engineer developing, optimizing, and managing large-scale data processing systems and analytics platforms - 4 years of experience in distributed data processing & near real-time data analytics using PySpark - ETL Experience preferred over Abinitio - Strong understanding of PySpark execution plans, partitioning & optimization techniques Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience If you are a person with a disability and need a reasonable accommodation to use our search tools and/or apply for a career opportunity, please review Accessibility at Citi.,
