Senior Purchase Engineer / Assistant Manager – Procurement Location: Bhiwadi, Rajasthan Experience: 8+ years Industry: Manufacturing, Electronics, or Industrial Equipment Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management: Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for both direct and indirect materials, including raw materials, components, and services. Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations; collaborate with production planning teams to align procurement with production schedules. Import and Local Sourcing: Handle both import and local procurement activities; ensure compliance with customs regulations and manage logistics for timely delivery. Quality Assurance: Coordinate with quality assurance teams to evaluate and ensure the quality of purchased materials; address any quality issues promptly. Cost Optimization: Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality; conduct market research to identify cost-effective sourcing options. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards; maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. ERP and Reporting: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement activities; generate reports for management review.hitachienergy.com Desired Skills & Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field); MBA or specialization in Supply Chain Management is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 8 years in procurement or purchase engineering roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle); strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions. Communication: Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GST, VAT, customs clearance, and other taxation and import-export regulations.
