Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Plant Head

Role Purpose

To manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, and services required for plastic preform manufacturing, ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop reliable suppliers for PET resin, masterbatches, packing materials, machine spares, and other consumables.
• Raise purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and introduce alternative sources where required.
• Maintain vendor database, purchase records, and price comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
• Support audits by maintaining accurate purchase documentation.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchases, savings, and supplier performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in Commerce / Engineering / Supply Chain Management
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in plastics, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of PET resin, plastic raw materials, and industrial consumables.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work under deadlines.
