Position: Purchase Executive – Pipes & Tubes
Location: Mumbai Office / Warehouse
Department: Purchase / Operations

Role Objective:
Handle end-to-end procurement of pipes, tubes, and related steel products for Tubes India, ensuring competitive pricing, quality compliance, and timely deliveries, while maintaining strong supplier networks in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure pipes, tubes (seamless, ERW, alloy, stainless steel, etc.) and related fittings from approved and new vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers, leveraging industry knowledge for cost savings.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring specification and quality adherence.
• Maintain relationships with mills, stockists, and traders to ensure supply continuity.
• Coordinate with QC for inspection, approvals, and rejection handling.
• Monitor stock levels and plan purchases to meet production and dispatch timelines.
• Maintain supplier database, price trends, and purchase history in Tally / ERP.
• Resolve disputes on quality, quantity, and documentation promptly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in procurement of pipes, tubes, and steel products.
• Strong knowledge of steel grades, sizes, and specifications.
• Graduate (preferably in Commerce, Engineering, or Supply Chain).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally ERP.
• Excellent negotiation, follow-up, and vendor management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
