Job Profile

Title: Sr. Purchase Engineer

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering

Experience: 4-5 years of proven experience in procurement, specifically with the electronic /electrical control system and power products manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for the procurement of electrical and electronics components required for electronic /electrical control system and power products manufacturing industry

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance to understand procurement needs and specifications.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery, quality and cost-effectiveness of purchased materials.

Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials and cost-saving opportunities while staying abreast of industry trends.

Prepare and analyse purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and budgetary constraints.

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from request for quotation (RFQ) to delivery and payment, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical standards.

Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising product quality or supplier relationships.

Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery delays or discrepancies.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and lead times to support strategic decision-making.

Stay informed about advancements in electrical and electronics technologies to make informed procurement decisions.

Managing imports of electronic/electrical and special items.

Skillset:

Strong understanding of electrical and electronics components, materials and industry standards.

Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with Tally system and proficiency in MS Office.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities/projects.

Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Familiar with imports, web purchase of electronic/electrical and special items.

Experience in electronic/electrical product manufacturing industry preferred.

Experience in Defence Company with above skillset will be an added advantage.
