Purchase Assistant / Executive

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support the purchasing manager in sourcing and procuring materials, supplies and equipment. Ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with company policies and objectives.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Evaluate and compare supplier offers to ensure the best terms
• Resolve any discrepancies with orders, invoices or deliveries
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available
• Conduct regular inventory audits and coordinate with warehouse staff
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and other relevant data
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analyses and market research
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations
• Support initiatives to improve purchasing processes and efficiency

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes
• Experience with ERP systems
• Ability to analyse market trends and supplier performance
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
