Key responsibilities

• Instruction and planning:
• Develop and implement physical education curricula and lesson plans for different ability levels.
• Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate exercise-based learning strategies.
• Student development:
• Assess students' physical abilities and track their progress in different sports and activities.
• Coach students on proper techniques for various sports and exercises.
• Encourage healthy lifestyles and help students set and achieve physical health goals.
• Organization and supervision:
• Organize and supervise sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities at local, cluster, or even national levels.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities.
• Administrative and collaborative duties:
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grades.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents on student progress and to integrate physical education with other subjects.
• Manage and maintain school sports equipment and supplies.
• Assist with departmental and other official duties as assigned by authorities.

Required qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field, along with a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification. A postgraduate degree in Physical Education may also be required or preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience as a sports teacher or coach, with a specific number of years often required depending on the institution.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Technological proficiency for both online and offline teaching modes.
• Creativity in lesson planning and activity design.
