Role Overview: As a Python Developer at Prune, you will work on building and maintaining the core backend systems that support our eSIM and bill payment offerings. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, scalable, and high-performance systems that power the future of mobile connectivity. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy backend services for eSIM and bill payment platforms. Design and implement APIs and microservices to support scalable product offerings. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Work on the integration of third-party services, payment gateways, and partner APIs. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. Maintain and enhance the existing backend codebase and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Ensure the system is secure, reliable, and able to handle high traffic volumes. Work closely with product managers and other teams to understand feature requirements and build solutions accordingly. Write unit tests and documentation for all major code changes. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Python and related ecosystems. Desired Skills & Experience: Proficiency in Python and its frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask). Hands-on experience with backend technologies, databases, and cloud platforms. Experience with microservices architecture and API design. Solid understanding of telecom systems and payment gateways (knowledge of eSIM tech is a plus). Familiarity with version control tools like Git and project management tools like Jira. Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes. Experience with cloud technologies, preferably GCP. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools. Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative team player. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer or in a related backend development role.
