PRT English

The PRT English Teacher is responsible for developing foundational English language skills in young learners through engaging, age-appropriate, and activity-based teaching methods. The role focuses on reading, writing, speaking, listening, phonics, and early grammar skills while nurturing creativity, confidence, and communication.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver interactive English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
• Teach phonics, vocabulary, grammar, handwriting, and sentence formation.
• Use storytelling, rhymes, role-play, and visual aids to enhance learning.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a warm, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Encourage participation and positive behavior.
• Manage classroom activities, worksheets, and group work effectively.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct regular assessments, worksheets, and oral evaluations.
• Maintain student progress records and portfolios.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Student Development

• Identify individual learning needs and support slow learners.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, and communication skills.
• Foster reading habits and love for language.

Parent & School Coordination

• Communicate student progress during PTMs.
• Collaborate with coordinators and other teachers.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, and training programs.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate with English as a subject (BA English preferred).
• B.Ed / D.El.Ed / ECCE (mandatory as per school norms).
• Strong command of spoken and written English.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in primary teaching preferred
