As we continue to expand, We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Proofreader (All Subjects) to join our editorial team and ensure the highest standards of linguistic and factual accuracy across our publications.

Job Description:

As a Proofreader, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and refining manuscripts, layouts, and final proofs to ensure they are error-free, consistent, and aligned with the company’s editorial and style guidelines. You will work on a variety of subjects — including English, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and General Knowledge — requiring keen attention to detail and a strong command of the English language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proofread and check manuscripts, page layouts, and final proofs for grammatical, typographical, and factual errors.
• Ensure consistency in spelling, punctuation, formatting, and style across all publications.
• Cross-check references, captions, numbering, and factual details to maintain content accuracy.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and typesetters to ensure the accuracy of the final printed and digital content.
• Mark and communicate corrections clearly and efficiently for implementation.
• Review and approve revised proofs to ensure all changes are correctly incorporated.
• Maintain adherence to the publication’s editorial standards and brand style guides.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or any relevant field.
• 2–3 years of experience in proofreading or editorial work, preferably in a publication house or educational publishing setup.
• Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and style conventions.
• Ability to proofread content across multiple subjects with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail, patience, and focus.
• Familiarity with proofreading symbols and standard publishing workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other proofreading/editing tools.
• Strong communication and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
