Proof Reader

1. You will have to review manuscripts and digital content for grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.

2. You are expected to ensure that books are competent quality-wise, including consistency in language, tone, formatting throughout the content, and the alignment of text with visual elements, such as diagrams, illustrations, and charts.

3. You are expected to check the reliability and truthfulness of the content by verifying that all educational terms, definitions, and instructional content are accurate and aligned with curriculum standards. You will have to cross-reference references, citations, and educational content with reliable sources to ensure factual accuracy, and review references to academic standards, curriculum guidelines, and learning outcomes.

4. You must ensure that content adheres to the company’s editorial style guide, which may include specific rules for language usage, citation formats, and subject-specific terminology.

5. You are expected to check for adherence to educational guidelines, such as age-appropriate language, clarity, and inclusivity in content.

6. You shall be working closely with authors, editors, and instructional designers to clarify ambiguities or inconsistencies in the content, while providing feedback on content structure, readability, and coherence, especially in educational materials meant for diverse learning levels.

7. You are expected to verify that all content complies with copyright laws, proper citation of sources, and fair use policies.

8. You need to check for any potential biases or insensitive content, ensuring that materials meet the company’s standards for diversity and inclusion.

You are expected to perform a final review of the document or digital content, and spot-check for any remaining issues related to typography, fonts, and visual consistency, before publication to ensure it is error-free.
