As a Project Manager at the company, your role involves managing the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to delivery. You will be the main point of contact between Japanese clients and internal teams, communicating, translating, and interpreting requirements in both Japanese and English. Your responsibilities include creating project plans, schedules, status reports, and documentation. It is essential to track project progress, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, QA, and operations, conduct client meetings, reviews, and progress updates in Japanese, and ensure quality, scope, timeline, and budget adherence. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving issues and escalating risks when necessary. Some of the key qualifications and skills required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field. Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 or N3 level is mandatory. You should have 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a background in working with Japanese clients or Japan-facing projects. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is essential, along with excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project tools like JIRA, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint is also expected.
