Project Manager II - Telco Engineering

As a Project Manager II in Telco Engineering at UST, your primary focus will be on the Telecom Services Optimization Project. This initiative aims to optimize telecom services and reduce costs by reviewing and renegotiating expired circuit contracts, eliminating redundant Wavelength/P2P connections, and transitioning CRG international wireline services to TFS standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, manage, and oversee the project, ensuring smooth coordination between teams. - Manage project timelines and resources effectively. - Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders. - Collaborate with key resources like Network Architect and Network Engineer to assess current telecom infrastructure, identify redundancies, and develop optimization strategies. - Implement optimization recommendations provided by the Network Architect. - Drive the project towards achieving goals such as reduced telecom expenses, enhanced reliability and efficiency of services, and standardized processes for the circuit lifecycle. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in reviewing, negotiating, and managing telecom contracts for cost optimization. - Proven ability to identify and implement strategies for reducing costs within telecom services. - Strong technical knowledge of Wavelength and Point-to-Point (P2P) connections, and overall telecom network infrastructure. - Experience in project management, vendor management, data analysis, regulatory compliance, and change management. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. - Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and develop actionable solutions.
