Project Estimator

As a Project Estimator at our interior design team, your role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and blueprints to calculate estimated project costs. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting project estimations, assessing risks, and providing detailed cost breakdowns to inform decision-making and bidding processes. Your attention to detail and proficiency in estimation software will be crucial in ensuring accurate cost projections throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Thoroughly review project documents, including plans, specifications, and drawings, to understand the scope of work and potential challenges. - Research and gather cost data for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other relevant factors for accurate cost analysis. - Calculate labor hours based on project complexity and crew size to estimate project timelines. - Accurately measure and calculate material quantities required for the project. - Identify potential risks and contingencies that could impact project costs through risk assessment. - Present detailed breakdowns of estimated project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and profit margins. - Contribute to client proposals by providing accurate cost estimates. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project requirements. - Utilize estimating software to efficiently calculate costs and generate reports. - Monitor project costs during construction to identify any deviations from the initial estimate. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as construction management or civil engineering. - Strong analytical and mathematical skills. - Proficiency in estimation software like CostX, Buildsoft, or similar tools. - Detailed understanding of construction processes and terminology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - 1 to 3 years of experience in a relevant field. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and calculations. - Understanding of project management tools. - Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.,
