PROJECT ENGINEERS-FIRE

As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting fire protection and life safety evaluations and assessments of facilities. Your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing fire protection systems such as fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and fire suppression systems. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Your duties will also include preparing and reviewing fire protection and life safety reports, plans, and specifications. It is essential to stay up-to-date with current codes, standards, and regulations related to fire protection and life safety. Collaboration with architects, engineers, and other professionals will be necessary to ensure the integration of fire protection systems into building design and construction. To excel in this role, you must possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license and Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) designation. Previous experience in fire protection design and code consulting is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field is preferred. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and fire protection design software is essential. Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to fire protection and life safety is also crucial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is important for success in this role. This is a full-time position with health insurance benefits and a day shift schedule.
