Project Engineer Renewable Energy

As a Project Engineer responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, your role involves ensuring that solar panels are properly positioned, connected, and functioning efficiently. You will be working outdoors, often on rooftops or ground-mounted solar farms, requiring technical knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Managing Installation of Solar Panels - Guiding installation team to assemble, mount, and install solar panels on rooftops or ground structures. - Securing panels using racking and mounting hardware. - Inspecting proper wiring and connection to the power grid or battery systems. - Charging the Power Plant - System Maintenance & Troubleshooting - Conducting routine inspections to ensure optimal system performance. - Identifying and repairing faulty panels, wiring issues, or inverter malfunctions. - Cleaning solar panels to maintain efficiency. - Electrical & Safety Compliance - Following electrical diagrams and blueprints for accurate installations. - Ensuring all work adheres to safety guidelines and local electrical codes. - Performing voltage and current tests to verify system functionality. - Customer Interaction & Reporting - Explaining system operation and maintenance procedures to clients. - Documenting and reporting installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Qualifications Required: - Educational Background: - B.E/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy (preferred). - Certification in Solar PV Installation (e.g., from MNRE, Skill India). - Minimum 2 Years of Working Experience setting up Power Plant on MW Scale (preferred). - Technical Skills: - Knowledge of solar PV components, inverters, batteries, and wiring. - Familiarity with tools like multimeters, drills, and crimping tools. - Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. - Soft Skills: - Problem-solving ability for troubleshooting system issues. - Physical fitness and ability to work at heights. - Good communication skills for customer interactions.
