Project Engineer - Civil Execution (Residential Buildings)

Role Overview

Lead on-site execution for premium residential projects in Chennai. You will be responsible for RCC works, finishing activities, contractor coordination, and daily project monitoring across multiple Subhiksha apartment sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end site execution including RCC, block work, plastering, flooring, waterproofing & finishing.
  
• Manage daily work allocation to contractors, supervisors & labour teams ensuring quality and timeline targets.
  
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants & MEP engineers for design clarifications.
  
• Verify levels, dimensions, and reinforcement as per drawings and check BBS.
  
• Monitor material consumption and issue indents to purchase team for timely delivery.
  
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, labour deployment registers and photographic updates.
  
• Certify sub-contractor bills with measurements and support quantity/billing team.
  
• Ensure strict adherence to IS codes, QA/QC procedures and safety protocols.
  
• Coordinate multiple sites within the same locality and support Resident Engineers under you.

Required Qualifications

• B.E (Civil)

  or

  B.Arch

  with 4 + years or

  M.E/M.Tech (Civil)

  with 3 + years experience in apartment projects or

  Diploma (Civil)

  with 5 + years
• Proven track record of handling at least one multi-storey residential project through structure and finishing.
  
• Working knowledge of bar bending schedules, shuttering, concreting and finishing methods.
  
• Competence in Excel and AutoCAD (for layout readings and measurements).
  
• Good communication in

  Tamil and English

  to coordinate with site staff and management.
• Must own a two-wheeler and be ready for daily site travel within Chennai limits.

Work Timings

Monday Saturday | 8:30 AM 6:30 PM / Sunday Off Generally.
(Site timings may extend as per concreting schedule / critical activities)
