Project Engineer - Automotive testing

Designation Project Engineer (

(1 to 3 years exp.)

Main Duties:

• Plan and execute field operational tests for ADAS features including ACC, LKA, AEB, BSD, parking assist, and other advanced safety systems
• Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and protocols based on customer requirements and industry standards
• Conduct real-world driving tests in various environmental and traffic conditions
• Coordinate test vehicle preparation, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Manage data acquisition systems and ensure proper data logging during field tests
• Analyse test data using appropriate tools and software like Vector, Somat etc
• Identify system behaviors, anomalies, and performance issues
• Generate comprehensive test reports with findings, observations, and recommendations
• Document test procedures, configurations, and results accurately
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for customer or for PM
• Maintain detailed records of test activities and vehicle configurations
• Create and update test documentation in accordance with quality standards
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding test progress and results
• Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions
• Provide technical support and clarifications as needed
• Ensure customer requirements are properly understood and implemented
• Conduct risk assessments for field testing activities
• Manage the team (Instrument Technician, drivers, technician) assigned for the project.
• Prepare the Proposal for client or support to Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics Engineering, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in automotive testing, preferably in ADAS or autonomous driving
• Hands-on experience with field operational testing
• Knowledge of ADAS sensors (radar, camera, lidar, ultrasonic) and their functionalities
• Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis tools
• Strong understanding of ADAS technologies and functionalities
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Valid driving license and need to know driving scenarios
• Experience with data logging and measurement systems
• Willingness to travel for testing activities around India and our of India for long periods
• Flexibility to work irregular hours when required during the Field Testing
