Project Coordinator

The Project Co-ordinator position at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal is currently open for applications. This role is based at the New-born Hearing Assessment Centre (Dhwani project) in Govt. Lady Goshcen Hospital, Mangalore, which falls under the Suhas Gopal Pai MAHE Endowment at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore. As a Project Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all babies born in Lady Goshen Hospital undergo testing twice before their discharge. Your duties will include maintaining records and data related to the testing process, ensuring a continuous supply of consumables for the screening room, and building rapport with families to encourage them to bring their babies back for re-testing when necessary. You will work closely with the staff of Audiology, Otorhinolaryngology, and Paediatrics to deliver these services effectively. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic background and proficient computer skills. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with an MSW qualification. Additionally, you should be fluent in English, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, and Malayalam, and possess a pleasant and empathetic personality. This is a full-time position with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000. The initial duration of the project is one year, with a possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements, subject to a satisfactory progress evaluation at the end of the first three months.
