Project Associate - I position in Computational Modelling

Job Description:
We are seeking a Project Associate I to model and simulate the Rotary Kiln sponge iron (DRI) making process. This role is a unique opportunity to:Develop advanced heat and mass transfer for the reduction of iron ore and combustion of coal involving packed beds.Innovate in CFD modelling for gas flow through packed beds.Dive deeper into interaction among the various phases.Mentor and guide the next generation of postgraduate students.Who We're Looking For:A Ph.D. holder in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Physics, or related fields.Proficiency in OpenFOAM, LIGGGHTS open source software and in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.Expertise in modelling multiphase flows including DEM.Desirable Skills:An academic spirit, eager to explore and publish.Experience in parallel computing and developing graphical user interface for scientific codes would be advantageous.Other information:The consolidated salary for Project Associate I will be Indian Rupees (INR) 75,000/- to 90,000/- per month.
