Job Description

As a Professional, Software Development Engineering (React) at Fiserv, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of web applications using React, Javascript, Typescript, and Redux. Here is what you can expect in this role: - Experience in JavaScript (and preferably Typescript) with a strong background in AngularJS/Angular or ReactJS. - Proficiency in OOPs concepts in Javascript and their application for maintaining code quality. - Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS, JQuery, LESS/SASS, Bootstrap, and JS. - Ability to work with APIs, including REST and GraphQL, for seamless data interaction. - Transforming design mockups and wireframes into functional components, ensuring responsive web pages. - Understanding of cross-browser compatibilities, responsiveness, and web accessibility standards like ADA. - Knowledge of REACT tools, including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, and workflows like Redux Thunk/Saga, Hooks, and Flux. - Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, such as unit testing, code reviews, and agile development methodologies. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: - Owning and enhancing web services by adding new features, resolving bugs, and improving the code base. - Developing new features, troubleshooting bugs, and supporting technical requirements in product meetings. - Translating product requirements into functional software aligned with company objectives. - Taking ownership of merchant-facing services from development to deployment and monitoring. - Collaborating with the Infrastructure Team on designing data models for highly available services. - Writing automated tests for new web features and updating existing tests as required. - Participating in Agile SDLC, planning, and Scrumban boards. - Demonstrating problem-solving skills and proficiency in browser debugging. - Participating in a regular on-call rotation for support and maintenance. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's Degree in a related Technology field. - 5-8 years of experience in web development using Javascript. - Proficiency in modern web UI technologies like HTML5, CSS3. - Experience with API design and REST APIs. - Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycles such as Scrum. It would be great to have experience in: - Database technologies such as MySQL/Oracle and NoSql DB. - Jenkins, monitoring tools like Datadog or Grafana. - Ember.js framework. - Writing tests using Jest, Cypress.io, and Selenium. - Package management systems like yarn, Bower. - Build systems like Webpack, Rollup. - CSS pre-compilers, such as Sass or Less.
